Changing Education has to be number one in our nations” ToDo” list! We really need to believe in smaller class rooms. Fewer students per Teacher. Teaching our children to be critical thinkers, individuals. My granddaughter posted this on her Facebook a short while ago.
“I don’t want to go to school.
You’re probably saying it’s just a phase; but it’s not. The school system is failing all kids. They teach us to obey when commanded. This is why we are running out of jobs. They crush our dreams and teach us to work at a factory level. It’s a game of jeopardy for eight hours and five days a week.
The school system needs to change, but we have to do something or it never will. Please share this with as many people as you know to start the new generation.”

I am sorry to say that at first I wasn’t sure what to do about this. I do agree with her thought’s. She has a valid point. We need to do something for our children and grandchildren.
Isabel you have a point.
Our school system was created to produce factory workers. There is nothing wrong with factory work in the United States they are well paid for the most part, actually they may earn more than an “educated ” person. The problem with factory work these days is there isn’t such a demand for those types of workers as there had been back when our school system was developed. Today we need to train our children for the type of jobs/work that the market demands. In this information world we need thinkers, problem solvers, persons with self-motivation and self-confidence. Along with our basic R (reading-writhing-arithmetic) we need to teach our children individualism. Critical thinking will be important. To think for themselves, to be creative. We need class rooms geared to the students in them, and not: hear-ding them through in packs of 20 or 40 students per teacher.
I will help you get the word out. We need to change the way we educate our children. Their future and ours depends on it.
